The education of even a small child, therefore, does not aim at preparing him for school, but for life."- Maria Montessori
More than ever, our children need exposure and experience with sciences and culture to help them become global citizens of the world. They are the keepers of the future, in every sense, so it is important we follow their lead and provide them the tools necessary to navigate and appreciate the world and diversity it offers. They, and the world, will be better for it.

Animal/Insect Figures
These figures may just look like another toy for your child to play with, but they can serve many more purposes. Being purposeful with tools like these is key. These figures can be used to introduce anatomy of living organisms, physical traits, counting, and sorting. In this activity, S used the real pictures to match to her butterfly figures based on their attributes. |
Pattern Matching
This can be done with a variety of objects, do no limit yourself to animals! Think flowers, plants, buildings, transportation, and more! Having children pattern match helps them to discriminate characteristics of different objects. This will further develop their critical thinking helping them to be efficient problem solvers. |
